How to use this blog

Every believer should give over some of their day to deliberate worship, and my prayer is that this blog will help you in this. Each day I aim to post a short passage of scripture along with some comments that will direct you to worship God.

To get the most from this blog, read the verses given and spend some time thinking about them. (If possible, use your Bible to read the verses surrounding the given scripture in order to get the context of what is being said.)

Then read my comments and allow them to stimulate your own thoughts. Ask yourself questions: What does this passage say to me? What would it have meant in its original context? What truths are there here I need to respond to?

Once you have done this take some time (5 minutes or 50 minutes depending on how long you have) to think through the questions I ask.

Finally, and most importantly, give praise to God for what he has spoken to you through the scripture. Let the Spirit stir your heart in worship, and ask God to seal his truth in your heart.
